New and enhanced features The Adobe GoLive interactive editing tools are integrated into an enhanced user interface layout that incorporates the look and functions of the Adobe GoLive tools. The following list briefly describes each of the new or enhanced features: QuickTime Objects palette. This tab on the Objects palette contains new track icons, such as SWF, that you can drag onto the track list area in the TimeLine Window. Movie menu. Offers multiple functions such as displaying your movie window or presenting your movie. It also provides layout, text, track, and view size functions. When you want to export your movie or movie track, you can do so from the Movie menu. Toolbar. A dynamic toolbar that provides additional functions to the Movie menu. You can access the TimeLine Window; position, resize, rotate, skew, and lock tracks; make a movie streamable; and change the layering position of a track. Multiple undos. The multiple undo function is fully implemented in the interactive QuickTime editing environment. Movie Viewer window. Two tabs are now included in the Movie Viewer window. The Preview tab lets you preview your movies and set basic properties and annotations in the Movie Inspector. The Layout tab lets you position, resize, skew, and rotate the movie tracks using the toolbar buttons. You can also set basic properties and annotate the movie in the Layout tab view. TimeLine Window. In version 4.0, this was called the Track Editor. The TimeLine Window has been redesigned for easier use and has added tools to help you create and edit samples for your tracks.The sample tools include Inspect/Move/Copy, Create, Divide, Glue, and Delete Sample. Multiple sample selection opens the new Multiple Sample Inspector, and multiple track selection opens the new Multiple Track Inspector. You can now change the duration of a sample by resizing the sample duration bar, and you can set a selection range using sliders. Track and Sample Inspectors. Adobe GoLive now provides extended track and Sample track editing features in individual inspectors, plus new tools for creating and editing samples. New tracks. SWF track, Streaming track, Picture track, 3D track, Folder track, MPEG track (Mac OS only), and enhanced Text track. Note: QuickTime for Windows does not support MPEG video. Therefore, the MPEG icon appears on the Objects palette only in the Mac OS version of Adobe GoLive. Import Adobe Photoshop layers as sprites. You can now import Adobe Photoshop layers in one file and have those layers converted into sprites. With minimal setup in the Adobe Photoshop file, the layers are imported with mouse cursor actions activated. Filters. Generic, one-source, and two-source filters let you apply numerous effects into your QuickTime movies.
